PMA Family of Detectors for OEM Customers

Due to its novel architecture the PMA series radiometer can serve as the building block of a new meter. It enables quick integration of new sensors into the PMA family, with all its benefits but avoiding expensive R&D associated with development of a new reading device.
The information specific to a particular sensor is digitally stored in a tiny memory chip installed inside the detector. Among others it contains:
  • algorithms determining how the voltage(s) from the sensor are converted to the displayed value
  • calibration factors
  • identification information
  • display formatting information
  • units and conversion procedures
The PMA loads this information when the sensor is attached and configures itself accordingly. Eliminating the gain and offset adjustment potentiometers improves the stability and facilitates tracking of the calibration factors.
The PMA is able to update portions of the memory chip allowing for permanent setup customization.
The PMA Family of meters includes:
PMA2100 Meter with Datalogging capability.
PMA2200 Entry level PMA meter.
