#4 of 678 scored in California by Solar.com Installer Score

How does Cosmic Solar compare where you live? Rankings are local; an installer that leads one city can trail in the next. See how they rank in your city →

Why this differs from star ratings: most five-star reviews say “great company” and stop, and star averages reward that. These category scores only count reviews with concrete evidence, weighted by recency and the reviewer’s track record. A company can hold a strong star average while specific categories score lower; that gap is usually where the real story is. Categories with more complaints than praise are the questions worth asking any bidder, not necessarily dealbreakers.

Where Cosmic Solar builds

County-by-county activity from CPUC records through May 2026.

What this data covers: *Counts on this page, including the totals up top, come from investor-owned-utility interconnection records (SCE, SDG&E, PG&E). Work in municipal-utility territory, such as LADWP or city utilities, and outside California does not appear here, so this company's true totals are higher than shown. Unlike the county rankings, this profile also shows counties below the 250-install ranking floor.

Cosmic Solar reviews: what customers say

An independent synthesis of published customer feedback across Google and Yelp, updated September 28, 2026. Green marks praise, amber mixed experiences, red complaints.

Sales & proposal integrity

Sales Integrity8.3/10

Reviewers mostly describe the sales and proposal process as clear, patient, and detailed, with many saying expectations were explained well upfront. A small set of complaints centers on pressure tactics, mismatched proposal assumptions, and confusion around price changes or savings framing.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

Clear, patient sales process. Many reviewers say the sales team took time to answer questions, explain the process, and keep them informed through the proposal stage. Representative review excerpt: "It started with the sales person, Ken who was very patient with all my concerns and then Pey, the project manager, who was super nice, helpful, very knowledgeable and refreshingly..."

Detailed expectations upfront. Several customers report that the quoting and planning process was explained in detail, including what to expect next and how the project would unfold. Representative review excerpt: "Mary and Ashley kept us informed each step of the way and were so detailed in making sure it was all perfect."

Watch-out: pressure or mismatch concerns. A smaller group of reviewers describe high-pressure sales behavior or say parts of the proposal did not align with their utility data or later pricing expectations. Representative review excerpt: "It started with the sales person, Ken who was very patient with all my concerns and then Pey, the project manager, who was super nice, helpful, very knowledgeable and refreshingly..."

Watch-out: missed follow-up. A few reviewers report difficulty reaching the company or getting responses after raising issues, especially when they wanted documented follow-up. Representative review excerpt: "I made numerous calls and emails to Pey and the owner Bahram Shadzi and did not receive any response."

Timeline reliability

Timeline Reliability8.5/10

Watch-out: approval or response delays. A small number of reviewers describe concerns about work happening without clear approval or about delays that followed once a project was underway. Representative review excerpt: "What actually happened next was they came onto my property and installed solar panels on the ADU without ever contacting me, making an appointment, or getting any kind of approval."

Workmanship & site care

Workmanship9.1/10

Reviewers are very positive about the installation crews, describing neat work, professional behavior, and good cleanup. The complaint pattern is limited but includes a few reports of installation mistakes or damage-related concerns that were later addressed or required correction.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

Clean, professional installs. Many reviewers say the crews worked cleanly and professionally, with projects completed neatly and the site left in good condition. Representative review excerpt: "They installed a full Enphase battery backup system, two new subpanels, and an EV charger, all cleanly and professionally."

Good care around complex jobs. Customers also describe the team as capable on larger projects involving roof work, panel removal, and reinstallations. Representative review excerpt: "Over the years, our 30 yo roof began giving us problems, and we didn't want anyone else to remove our solar panels, so called on Pey and Cosmic to come..."

Watch-out: occasional installation issues. A small number of reviewers report workmanship problems such as a part needing replacement or concerns about how a component was installed. Representative review excerpt: "Cosmic Solar immediately sent a technician out to replace the panel, which should not have been installed on the roof in the first place."

Long-term support & performance

Long-Term Support9.3/10

This category is a major strength in the review corpus. Reviewers frequently report good production, prompt warranty help, and responsive service after turn-on, while only a few mention follow-up gaps or repeated service visits.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

Responsive warranty service. Many customers say the company handled inverter or microinverter problems quickly and kept them informed during service work. Representative review excerpt: "We are grateful for Khi (service manager) and the team of technicians, who helped us replace a broken microinverter under warranty within a couple of days after we reported it."

Helpful post-install support. Reviewers also describe technicians helping with app setup, monitoring, and other post-install questions after the system was running. Representative review excerpt: "Technician helped me setup the Tesla battery app on my phone with appropriate settings to maximize benefit or the solar/battery installation."

Watch-out: service follow-up can vary. A small number of reviewers mention repeated visits or a lack of outreach after installation, suggesting follow-up is not always consistent. Representative review excerpt: "But if 10 visits over 3 months to diagnose and replace faulty micro inverters seems reasonable, go ahead and use Cosmic Solar with their SunPower equipment."

Bottom line: Across 400 substantive reviews, COSMIC SOLAR is reviewed very favorably overall, with especially strong marks for communication, workmanship, and long-term support. The main recurring cautions involve pricing clarity, sales pressure in a few cases, and occasional follow-up or scheduling issues, but complaints are uncommon relative to the volume of praise.

Important context: this chart shows investor-owned-utility records only. Companies that shift work toward municipal-utility territory (LADWP and city power departments) or other states will show declining bars here even while building steadily elsewhere, and 2025-26 records also lag real installation dates. Treat this as a partial window, not the company's full trajectory.

How we built this data

Methodology: Counts are residential PV interconnections in investor-owned-utility territory (PG&E, SCE, SDG&E) per CPUC Rule 21 public records through May 2026. Postal and name variants are merged. Municipal utility territory such as LADWP, Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank, Anaheim, and Riverside Public Utilities is not included in those CPUC counts. Counts show recorded installations, not quality ratings. Reported costs are self-reported on owned-system interconnections. No installer can pay for placement.

Who we are: Solar.com is a solar marketplace — we connect homeowners with installers and earn a fee when projects move forward. These rankings and scores are computed from public installation records and published customer reviews. No installer can pay for placement, and no installer — including those we work with — can pay to change a score.
