How does Electrical Pros compare where you live? Rankings are local; an installer that leads one city can trail in the next. See how they rank in your city →

Why this differs from star ratings: most five-star reviews say “great company” and stop, and star averages reward that. These category scores only count reviews with concrete evidence, weighted by recency and the reviewer’s track record. A company can hold a strong star average while specific categories score lower; that gap is usually where the real story is. Categories with more complaints than praise are the questions worth asking any bidder, not necessarily dealbreakers.

Where Electrical Pros builds

County-by-county activity from CPUC records through May 2026.

What this data covers: *Counts on this page, including the totals up top, come from investor-owned-utility interconnection records (SCE, SDG&E, PG&E). Work in municipal-utility territory, such as LADWP or city utilities, and outside California does not appear here, so this company's true totals are higher than shown. Unlike the county rankings, this profile also shows counties below the 250-install ranking floor.

Feedback in this category is consistently positive, and there are no complaint-coded reviews in the available set.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

Clear options. Reviewers say the company took time to explain choices and provide options rather than steering them toward the quickest or most profitable path. Representative review excerpt: "He takes the time to answer questions and gives all options not just the ones that are quickest or make him the best profit."

Straightforward approach. Customers describe the sales experience as honest and direct, with pricing and expectations presented in a way that felt easy to understand. Representative review excerpt: "He was reliable, honest and straightforward."

Price & financing transparency

Price Transparency6.7/10

Feedback on pricing is mostly positive, with several reviewers saying quotes were clear and costs stayed reasonable. A small number of complaints mention deposits and refund timing, so this category reads as favorable overall but not uniform.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

Clear, fair quotes. Reviewers say pricing was explained clearly, with adjustments made when the scope of work changed and no extra hidden charges mentioned by many customers. Representative review excerpt: "He adjusted the quoted price lower, according to the amount of work that was involved."

No padded costs. Customers report receiving straightforward pricing options and say the cost breakdown did not appear padded for extra margin. Representative review excerpt: "They gave me clear options and pricing without padding the costs just to make extra money."

Deposit and refund concerns. A small number of reviewers describe paying a deposit and later asking for a refund, pointing to some friction around upfront payments and refund timing. Representative review excerpt: "I hired Jake to install two mini-split systems and paid him an $800 deposit to get the job started."

Communication & coordination

Communication6.7/10

Most reviewers describe responsive, helpful communication and say questions were answered clearly during the job. Still, a few reviews mention missed follow-up, delayed replies, or difficulty getting issues resolved, so coordination appears inconsistent in some cases.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

Responsive and helpful. Several reviewers say the company answered questions, discussed options, and handled follow-up needs during the project. Representative review excerpt: "He takes the time to answer questions and gives all options not just the ones that are quickest or make him the best profit."

Representative review excerpt: "Had Jacob come out twice in a week, once for an issue that I thought was smoke detectors that were beeping and another time to fix an exhaust fan that..."

Follow-up gaps. A few reviewers report difficulty getting timely responses or resolution after the initial visit, including delays that required extra effort from the customer. Representative review excerpt: "I am now having to consider taking him to small claims court to recover my $800 and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau."

Timeline reliability

Representative review excerpt: "We ended up not having the outlet installed at this point but while we had him there asked a few other electrical questions and asked if he knew how to..."

Delay complaints. A couple of reviewers report delays or jobs not being completed on the expected timeline, with one saying the delay affected plans and left them out money for unfinished work. Representative review excerpt: "This delay held up my plans and left me out $1,000 for work that was never done."

Workmanship & site care

Workmanship7.4/10

Reviewers are mostly positive about the quality of the work and describe professional, careful service. Representative review excerpt: "He takes the time to answer questions and gives all options not just the ones that are quickest or make him the best profit."

Inspection follow-through concern. One reviewer says the post-inspection report was delayed repeatedly after payment, which affected their view of the overall site-care experience. Representative review excerpt: "However, After his inspection and paying him by check, even giving him an extra $50 for his trouble, he basically ghosted me, constantly putting off the report over text stating..."

Long-term support & performance

There were no substantive reviews in this corpus addressing system production, monitoring, warranty service, or long-term repairs after activation. As a result, this category cannot be meaningfully evaluated from the available review set.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

No post-install evidence. The collected reviews do not provide enough post-install feedback to assess long-term support or system performance. Representative review excerpt: "He takes the time to answer questions and gives all options not just the ones that are quickest or make him the best profit."

No warranty feedback. There is no review evidence in the available set about monitoring, warranty support, or repair handling after activation. Representative review excerpt: "To be honest, his pricing was very fair and for the quality of work, definitely worth it."

Bottom line: Overall, reviewers give Electrical Pros a generally positive read, with strongest feedback around workmanship, sales clarity, and fair pricing. The main watch-outs are around deposit and refund handling, communication follow-through, and occasional delays in project timing.

Important context: this chart shows investor-owned-utility records only. Companies that shift work toward municipal-utility territory (LADWP and city power departments) or other states will show declining bars here even while building steadily elsewhere, and 2025-26 records also lag real installation dates. Treat this as a partial window, not the company's full trajectory.

How we built this data

Methodology: Counts are residential PV interconnections in investor-owned-utility territory (PG&E, SCE, SDG&E) per CPUC Rule 21 public records through May 2026. Postal and name variants are merged. Municipal utility territory such as LADWP, Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank, Anaheim, and Riverside Public Utilities is not included in those CPUC counts. Counts show recorded installations, not quality ratings. Reported costs are self-reported on owned-system interconnections. No installer can pay for placement.

Who we are: Solar.com is a solar marketplace — we connect homeowners with installers and earn a fee when projects move forward. These rankings and scores are computed from public installation records and published customer reviews. No installer can pay for placement, and no installer — including those we work with — can pay to change a score.
