#37 of 678 scored in California by Solar.com Installer Score

How does Transform Power compare where you live? Rankings are local; an installer that leads one city can trail in the next. See how they rank in your city →

Why this differs from star ratings: most five-star reviews say “great company” and stop, and star averages reward that. These category scores only count reviews with concrete evidence, weighted by recency and the reviewer’s track record. A company can hold a strong star average while specific categories score lower; that gap is usually where the real story is. Categories with more complaints than praise are the questions worth asking any bidder, not necessarily dealbreakers.

Where Transform Power builds

County-by-county activity from CPUC records through May 2026.

What this data covers: *Counts on this page, including the totals up top, come from investor-owned-utility interconnection records (SCE, SDG&E, PG&E). Work in municipal-utility territory, such as LADWP or city utilities, and outside California does not appear here, so this company's true totals are higher than shown. Unlike the county rankings, this profile also shows counties below the 250-install ranking floor.

Sales & proposal integrity

Sales Integrity8.1/10

Reviewers consistently describe the sales process as clear, low-pressure, and aligned with what was promised. Representative review excerpt: "We were speaking with several installers at the time, but the only one who did not pressure us was Jimmy!"

Helpful proposal explanations. Customers report that the proposal conversations covered how things work, what may or may not be needed, and what to expect later on. Representative review excerpt: "Between Jared & Tyler, they both explained in detail how things works, what services I may/or may not need & future services."

Price & financing transparency

Price Transparency7.3/10

The price and financing feedback is positive overall, with reviewers saying they were presented with options and felt comfortable making a budget-based decision. Communication & coordination

Communication8.4/10

Communication is a major strength in the review corpus, with many customers describing responsive follow-up, clear explanations, and helpful handoffs during the project. There is one reported complaint about difficulty reaching the right people, but it is isolated relative to the broader praise.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

Clear explanations and responsive support. Reviewers say the team explained issues clearly, kept them informed, and made the process easier to understand from start to finish. Representative review excerpt: "They quickly diagnosed the issue with my SolarEdge system, explained the problem clearly, and got the system back up and running."

Helpful post-install guidance. Customers also report that the team walked them through app setup and monitoring steps so they could use the system confidently. Representative review excerpt: "They also went above and beyond by walking me through the Tesla Solar app step-by-step, making sure I fully understood how to monitor our system and use all its features..."

Isolated reachability complaint. One reviewer describes repeated attempts to get a response from multiple parties over several days, which suggests at least one difficult communication experience in the record. Representative review excerpt: "I called multiple electricians, solar power companies, solar technicians, the manufacturer and the designated dealers multiple times in the span of 4 days."

Timeline reliability

Timeline Reliability7.8/10

Timeline feedback is mostly positive, with reviewers saying projects moved efficiently and stayed on track once the work began. The evidence set does not show a recurring pattern of missed dates or stalled permitting, and several comments specifically mention staying on schedule or completing quickly.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

Schedules generally kept moving. Reviewers report that the company followed through on timing expectations and kept projects moving even when the schedule was tight. Representative review excerpt: "I was on a very tight timeline, and they were upfront about it, promised to do their best, and actually followed through by optimizing the schedule and keeping everything moving."

Fast completion described. Some customers say installation and activation happened quickly, with one noting the system was up and running within about a week. Representative review excerpt: "Within one week of signing up with Transform Power, Jared and his crew had completely installed my solar system with it up and running and immediately saving me money."

Workmanship & site care

Workmanship8.7/10

Workmanship and site care receive very strong praise across the review set. Customers describe clean installations, professional crews, careful planning, and prompt handling of small issues, with no meaningful complaint pattern in the evidence provided.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

Clean, professional crews. Reviewers say the installers were on time, worked neatly, and kept disruption to a minimum during the job. Representative review excerpt: "The installers arrived on time, we're very clean, and if it weren't for the sound of them working on the roof we wouldn't even know they were there."

Planning reduced surprises. Customers also note that the team planned layouts in advance, which helped the installation go smoothly and reduced surprises on site. Representative review excerpt: "When they come out to quote your system, they’re already on your roof planning the layout, so there are no surprises during installation."

Long-term support & performance

Long-Term Support8.4/10

Post-install feedback is strongly positive, with reviewers reporting good system performance, support with monitoring and service, and help resolving issues after turn-on. The evidence set includes no recurring complaint pattern about warranty or follow-up service, though the score reflects a slightly more practical service-oriented discussion than the workmanship category.Solar.com's composite of published customer feedback, not a customer quote

Performance and savings reported. Reviewers say their solar and battery systems performed well and helped reduce monthly utility costs. Representative review excerpt: "They designed a custom residential solar and battery storage system for our house that has completely cut down our monthly utility costs."

Support after installation. Customers report that the team stayed involved after installation, including taking over support when older panels needed attention. Representative review excerpt: "After the installation, some of my older panels had an issue, and Jared took over the entire support of my system."

Bottom line: Across 116 substantive reviews, TRANSFORM POWER earns a broadly positive profile on Solar.com, especially for workmanship, communication, and post-install support. The main caution in the evidence is that communication issues appear rarely but do show up once, while pricing, sales integrity, and timeline feedback remain largely favorable overall.

Important context: this chart shows investor-owned-utility records only. Companies that shift work toward municipal-utility territory (LADWP and city power departments) or other states will show declining bars here even while building steadily elsewhere, and 2025-26 records also lag real installation dates. Treat this as a partial window, not the company's full trajectory.

How we built this data

Methodology: Counts are residential PV interconnections in investor-owned-utility territory (PG&E, SCE, SDG&E) per CPUC Rule 21 public records through May 2026. Postal and name variants are merged. Municipal utility territory such as LADWP, Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank, Anaheim, and Riverside Public Utilities is not included in those CPUC counts. Counts show recorded installations, not quality ratings. Reported costs are self-reported on owned-system interconnections. No installer can pay for placement.

Who we are: Solar.com is a solar marketplace — we connect homeowners with installers and earn a fee when projects move forward. These rankings and scores are computed from public installation records and published customer reviews. No installer can pay for placement, and no installer — including those we work with — can pay to change a score.
